Zeron 100 with UNS S32760 is a super duplex stainless steel containing 25% Cr, 4% Mo, and 7% Ni with addition of Copper and Tungsten, resulting excellent corrosion resistance, designed for acid leach mining applications and other industries where sulfuric acid is encountered.
Super Duplex 4501 also known as Super Duplex S32760, Duplex 4501, 25Cr Duplex and Zeron 100, is a super duplex stainless steel with a composition of 25% chromium, 3.6% molybdenum, 1.0 copper and 0.7% tungsten for excellent pitting resistance to various chlorides and organics acids. Super Duplex S32760 has excellent corrosion resistance combined with high strength. Zeron 100 is made to meet a minimum pitting resistance equivalent (PREn) value of 40. The ferritic structure and alloy additions, such as nitrogen provide yield strengths that are twice that of 300 series stainless steels. The addition of Copper in Super Duplex S32760 provides good resistance to sulfuric acid, Thus, Super Duplex 4501 is used in acid leach mining applications, steel pickling and other industries where sulfuric acid is encountered. Super Duplex UNS S32760 is among the most common super duplex grade in the market. Zeron 100 is a super duplex stainless steel especially designed for service in aggressive chloride-containing environments and has additions of W and Cu compared to UNS S32750. Duplex 4501 has very good resistance to localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in combination with high mechanical strength. 25Cr Super Duplex is a super duplex stainless steel supplied in the hot worked and solution annealed condition. As a super duplex stainless steel, it combines the desirable aspects of both austenitic and ferritic grades. Duplex 4501 provides higher strength than both austenitic and 22% Cr duplex stainless steels, and is listed in NACE MR 0175 for sour service and ASME for pressure vessel applications.
