We pride ourselves as one of the leading Inconel Flange Suppliers. Speak to one of our specialists and find out which flange products are available to meet your flange and piping specifications.
A flange joint is a connection of pipes, where the connecting pieces have flanges by which the parts are bolted together. The principle of a flange is to apply a mechanical force by using bolts to preload the gasket until contact stress between flanges and gasket is sufficient to maintain a seal. Connection to the pipe is by welding or threading. To allow easy functionality and inter-changeability, these ASTM B564 Flanges are designed to have standardised dimensions which include ANSI, ASME, DIN, EN, BS, JIS. Flanges have major applications in Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Ship-Building, Marine, Food, Dairy, Railways and other associated industries were piping systems are required.
Inconel Slip On Flange — Alloy Slip-On Flanges is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe it is to be used with. The pipe is slipped into the Flange prior to welding both inside and outside. We supply a wide range of slip-On Flanges in different dimensions and sizes.
Inconel Blind Flange — Alloy Flange with no borehole are known as Blind Flange and used to close the end of the pipe. Blind Flanges are supplied as threaded or welded from class 150lb to 2500lb.
Inconel Weld Neck Flange — Alloy Weld Neck Flanges are widely used in high-pressure piping systems and can be easily recognised by the long tapered hub. The size of the bore hole is usually equal to the size of the pipe.
Inconel Socket Weld Flange — Initially developed for small high-pressure piping systems a Socket Weld Flange is similar to Slip On Flange. The flange is installed by welding around the hub of the flange.
Inconel Threaded Flange — Threaded Flanges are used for special application where the flange can be assembled to the piping system by without welding. We specialise in all forms of threaded flanges and can supply it in multiple size range.
Inconel Lap Joint Flange — Lap-Joint Flanges are similar to Slip-On flanges and are generally used with Lap-Joint Stubs. This type of flange is highly used where the piping systems are disassembled from time to time.

Properties of Inconel 625 alloy
Inconel 625 Cold Forming
Inconel 625 can be cold formed by standard methods. When the material becomes too stiff from cold working, ductility can be restored by process anneal.
Inconel 625 Hot Forming
Hot working may done at 2100°F (1149°C) maximum furnace temperature. Care should be exercised to avoid frictional heat build-up which can result in overheating, exceeding 2100°F (1149°C). Inconel 625 becomes very stiff at temperatures below 1850°F (1010°C). Work pieces that fall below this temperature should be reheated. Uniform reductions are recommended to avoid the formation of a duplex grain structure. Approximately 15/20% reduction is recommended for finishing.
Inconel 625 Machining
Inconel 625 should preferably be machined in the annealed condition. Since Inconel Alloy 625 is prone to work hardening, only low cutting speeds should be used and the cutting tool should be engaged at all times. Adequate cut depth is necessary to assure avoiding contact with the previously formed work-hardened zone.
Inconel 625 Welding
Inconel 625 can be readily welded by conventional processes used for austenitic stainless steel, including fusion and resistance methods. The material should be in the mill annealed condition and thoroughly descaled and cleaned before welding. Preheating is not required and post-weld treatment is not needed to maintain or restore corrosion resistance.
Inconel 625 Heat Treatment
Hot- or cold-formed parts are usually annealed at 1700°-1900°F for times commensurate with thickness; higher temperatures may be used to soften material for additional cold work. Inconel alloy 625 is solution-treated at 2000°-2200°F. These temperatures are metal temperatures based on batch operations and may not apply to continuous annealing, which normally consists of short exposure in the hot zone of a furnace set at higher temperatures. The rate of cooling after heating has no significant effect on Inconel alloy 625.
