A fitting is used in pipe systems to connect straight pipe or tubing sections, adapt to different sizes or shapes and for other purposes, such as regulating fluid flow. Pipe Fittings are used in a piping system to change direction or function, which is mechanically joined to the system. The simplest way to achieve this is to bend the pipe in the direction required, but this process will stretch and thin the outer wall of the pipe whilst thickening and wrinkling, the inner wall of the pipe. This results in flow resistance and accelerated wall erosion. Inconel Elbow Fittings—Inconel Alloy Pipe Elbows are installed between two lengths of pipe or tube allowing a change of direction by 180°, 90° or 45°. The ends are machined for Butt Welding when the two ends differ in size, it is called a Reducer or, Reducing Elbow. Pipe Fitting Elbows are available as 180° elbows, 90° elbows or 45° elbows in 1D, 1.5D, 2D, 3D, 5D, 6D, 8D, 10D radius as short and long radius elbows. All Alloy elbows are mandrel formed to ensure consistency.

Inconel Stub Ends Pipe Fittings—Stub Ends are installed in pairs and mated together with two Lap-Joint Flanges. The surface of the Alloy stub end has a phonographic serrated gasket surface which prevents leakage at the joint. Using stub ends allows sections of the line to be opened for cleaning, inspection or quick replacement, etc, without the need to re-weld.

Properties of Inconel 600 alloy
Inconel 600 Cold Forming
The alloy has low ductility at temperatures between 1200° and 1600°F (650° and 870°C) and should not be worked in that range. High tensile properties can be developed in the material by careful working at temperatures below 1200°F (650°C). Inconel alloy 600 is cold-formed by the standard processes used for steel and stainless steel.
Inconel 600 Hot Forming
The normal hot-working temperature range for Inconel alloy 600 is 1600° to 2250°F (870° to 1230°C). Heavy hot work should be done between 1900° and 2250°F (1040° and 1230°C); light work can be continued down to 1600°F (870°C).
Inconel 600 Machining
Inconel alloy 600 is slightly more machinable than Type 304 stainless steel and slightly less machinable than Type 303 free-machining stainless steel. The alloy is best handled on heavy-duty equipment using cutting tools large and heavy enough to withstand the loads and to quickly dissipate the heat generated. Tools must be sharp and have the proper geometry.
Inconel 600 Welding
Inconel alloy 600 is readily joined by conventional welding processes. Welding materials for joining alloy 600 are Inconel Welding Electrode 182 for shielded metal-arc welding, Inconel Filler Metal 82 for gas tungsten-arc and gas metal-arc welding, and Inconel Filler Metal 82 and INCOFLUX 4 Submerged Arc Flux for the submerged-arc process.Welds made with Inconel Welding Electrode 182 may have decreased ductility after extended exposure to temperatures of 1000° to 1400°F (540° to 760°).
Inconel 600 Heat Treatment
The behavior of the alloy during heating is governed by a number of interacting variables: amount of cold work, grain size, chemical composition, and dimensions of the material. Consequently, times and temperatures for heat treatment are usually experimentally determined.

PMI Testing, Ultrasonic Test, Mechanical Testing, Spectro Tests for Chemical Analysis of the grade, Flaring Test, IGC, etc. are some of the tests conducted at our facility. We welcome stage wise inspection from any of your representative or third party inspection agencies.
