A fitting is used in pipe systems to connect straight pipe or tubing sections, adapt to different sizes or shapes and for other purposes, such as regulating fluid flow. Pipe Fittings are used in a piping system to change direction or function, which is mechanically joined to the system. The simplest way to achieve this is to bend the pipe in the direction required, but this process will stretch and thin the outer wall of the pipe whilst thickening and wrinkling, the inner wall of the pipe. This results in flow resistance and accelerated wall erosion. Hastelloy B Pipe Fittings are manufactured and finished according to international standards ASTM B366 UNS N10665, ASME B16.9, ANSI B16.9, ASME B16.28, ANSI B16.28, ANSI B16.25, MSS-SP-43 & MSS SP-75. Hastelloy Elbow Fittings—Hastelloy Pipe Elbows are installed between two lengths of pipe or tube allowing a change of direction by 180°, 90° or 45°. The ends are machined for Butt Welding when the two ends differ in size, it is called a Reducer or, Reducing Elbow. Pipe Fitting Elbows are available as 180° elbows, 90° elbows or 45° elbows in 1D, 1.5D, 2D, 3D, 5D, 6D, 8D, 10D radius as short and long radius elbows. All ASTM B366 elbows are mandrel formed to ensure consistency.

Hastelloy Return Bend Fittings— Bends are similar to elbows with different bending radiuses. ASTM B366 Bends are supplied as long radius return bends and short radius return bends.

Hastelloy Cap Pipe Fittings—The function of a Pipe Cap is to block off the end of a line in an industrial piping system. Pipe Cap is fitted by placing the end cap over the open line and welding around the joint.

Hastelloy Tee Pipe Fittings—Pipe Fitting Tee is widely used in industrial piping systems to merge or divide fluids and do not require special tubing preparation before installation. Tees are available in different threading specifications and are engineered to close tolerances and precise dimensions.

Hastelloy Stub Ends Pipe Fittings—Stub Ends are installed in pairs and mated together with two Lap-Joint Flanges. The surface of the stub end has a phonographic serrated gasket surface which prevents leakage at the joint. Using stub ends allows sections of the line to be opened for cleaning, inspection or quick replacement, etc, without the need to re-weld.

Hastelloy Pipe Reducer Fittings— Reducers are supplied as Eccentric Reducer, Concentric Reducer and Conical Reducer or Bell Shaped Reducer.

Hastelloy Pipe Coupling— Couplings are used to merge two equal ends in a piping system. Couplings are classified as half-coupling and full-coupling.

Hastelloy B2 Cold Forming

Cold forming process plays a very important role in the desired product formation.The process involves rolling, pressing forging of the metal with desired procedure. Cold forming is always done with precaution and under expertise with a clean environment. It increases the strength of the metal and gives hardness a new level.

Hastelloy B2 Hot Forming

While performing hot forming process in a Hastelloy, the temperature should be maintained with the furnace.The preheating of the furnace should be done so as to make the shape of the metal proper.The size and thickness of the metal play a very important role while hot forming so the metal can have the proper size.Re-heating is necessary to maintain the correct hot forming temperature, and dies of the metal should be heated to avoid extreme chilling of the surfaces.

Hastelloy B2 Machining

When Machining Hastelloy B2 the material gets work-harden quickly, produce high heat during cutting weld to the cutting tool surface and offer high resistance to metal removal because of their high shear strengths. The machine should be rigid and overpowered as much as possible.The workpiece and tool should be held rigid. The tools used should be sharp while machining. The machine used, should be heavy, constant, feeds to maintain the positive cutting action. If feed slows and the tool dwells in the cut, work hardening occurs, tool life deteriorates and close tolerances are impossible.

Hastelloy B2 Welding

Hastelloy B2 has a good welding property. The welding process is done by methods such as common arc welding process, plasma arc welding (PAW), resistance spot welding (RSW), laser beam welding (LBW), and electron beam welding (EBW) are used. The pitting corrosion resistance of the metal can be welded to be reduced due to micro-segregation of main molybdenum during solidification.

Hastelloy B2 Heat Treatment

Before heat treatment, make absolutely sure that grease, graphite, and other foreign materials are removed from all surfaces. The annealing procedure has been designed to place the material in the optimum condition with respect to mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Annealing is often performed after cold working operations to restore ductility and lower the yield and ultimate tensile properties. In general, the only heat treatment that is acceptable for these alloys is a full solution anneal.

PMI Testing, Ultrasonic Test, Mechanical Testing, Spectro Tests for Chemical Analysis of the grade, Flaring Test, IGC, etc. are some of the tests conducted at our facility. We welcome stage wise inspection from any of your representative or third party inspection agencies.
