Stainless Steel 330 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy austenitic steel developed to provide excellent resistance to carburizing and oxidizing atmospheres at elevated temperatures. Alloy 330 remains highly resistant to both chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Alloy 330 also known as SS 330, AISI 330, INOX 330 and SUH 330 comes with UNS N08330 and WNR 1.4864. Stainless Steel 330 is an austenitic, nickel-chromium-iron-silicon alloy that has outstanding resistance to oxidation and carburization up to 2200°F with high strength and further enhanced by its silicon content. With the nickel content of around 34% to 37% AISI 330 also provides high resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and embrittlement from the precipitation of sigma phase in most furnace atmospheres. 330 Stainless Steel Alloy 330 also has a low coefficient of expansion, excellent ductility, and high strength. SS 330 is an austenitic heat and corrosion resisting alloy that offers a combination of strength and resistance to carburization, oxidation and thermal shock Carburization and oxidation resistance to about 2100°F are enhanced by the silicon content of the alloy. 330 SS remains fully austenitic at all temperatures and is not subject to embrittlement from sigma formation.
